Canadian Nationals was re-named Air Nation this year and the event was presented by Sportcheck. Air Nation was held at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta from March 17-22. There were 4 events held over the course of the week- Jr Slopestyle, Jr Halfpipe, Open Slopestyle, and Open Halfpipe. Read More
The March Break kicked off with the Horseshoe Open on March 7-9, which was hosting 3 events over 2 days. Saturday was the Rail Jam and the set up had a lot of variety and unique features. There were only a few team members who decided to compete in the Rail Jam, however those few who competed did really well. Read More
The Ontario Provincial Championships was held at Mount St. Louis Moonstone on March 1st and 2nd in the Outback terrain park. The Slopestyle competition was held on the Saturday, with a course that offered two different lines- a bigger and a smaller option. The Halfpipe competition was held on the Sunday in a perfectly groomed 18ft Halfpipe. Read More
The Slopestyle event of the Ontario Winter Games was held on March 1st at Mount St. Louis-Moonstone. Athletes between the ages of 12-15 had to qualify to compete in the OWG through their result at the 2013 Provincial Championships or the first AM Tour stop earlier in the season. Read More
The Volcom Peanut Butter Rail Jam was held at Blue Mountain on Saturday February, 8th. This is the most laid back and fun event of the season, so much so that they didn’t even have a schedule for the day. The philosophy behind the event is awesome- let the kids ride free. Read More
The second and final stop of the S.O. AM Tour was held at Horseshoe Valley Resort on February 1st. It was an overcast day with snow falling steadily but the conditions remained consistent. The competitors struggled to find speed for some of the jumps and the small take offs offered minimal air time. The Simple coaches got to work and quickly had all the team members get over the less than ideal course features and started to work on putting their runs together and making the best of it. On Sunday January, 19th Mount St. Louis-Moonstone hosted a double header event- the second stop of the Ontario Groms Series and the first stop of the S.O. AM Tour. Two back-to-back events in the same day made for a long and busy day, not only for the coaches and athletes but for the event organizers and the judges as well. Read More
Technically the Vans Hi-Standard is a competition, although the format and focus is completely different then any other contest this season. The Vans Hi-Standard is based on style- the competitors have a jam session and they have to call their trick before dropping. If they land the trick they called, they get $5. Read More

Mount St. Louis-Moonstone has been the home of Simple Snowboarding since it’s inception over 6 years ago. During that time Simple and MSLM have formed a strong relationship and helped each other grow over the years. MSLM has always been setting the bar for Freestyle terrain in Ontario and constantly looks to improve their parks year after year, which is initially why Simple Snowboarding wanted to run their Programs there. The March Break kicked off with the 3rd Annual Horseshoe Open which is a two day event with three separate contests, Friday saw the Slopestyle event, Saturday was the Rail Jam and Saturday night was the Big Air to cap it all off. The first weekend of March brought the Ontario Championships held by Snowboard Ontario. The events took place at Mount St. Louis- Moonstone in the Outback terrain park. Multiple disciplines in both Race and Freestyle were held over the weekend keeping spectators entertained and coaches, athletes, and event staff busy. Read More

The first stop of the Canadian Shield Tour was held at Blue Mountain from February 21-23. The Canadian Shield is Canada’s premier slope style contest series for skiing and snowboarding, this year the tour consists of two stops- Blue Mountain, ON and Mount Seymour, BC. Read More
This past weekend was the 3rd Annual Beaver Valley Park Brawl, stretched into a 2 day event during the Family Day weekend. This year Beaver Valley turned the event into two separate contests, a Rail Jam on Friday and a Slopestyle on Saturday. The Rail Jam was held on their new Street Plaza set up, which offers some very diverse features in one central location. This made for some creative riding during the competition and easy for spectators to watch all the action. Saturday’s Slopstyle saw a mixture of weather, starting out under sunny bluebird skies and turning into a snowstorm by the time finals rolled around. Speed was the biggest issue of the day, nearly every rider required a sling shot into the course from the coaches at the top to get that extra boost of speed. Read More

The event is very laid back and fun, it is a jam format which allows competitors a lot of opportunities to get their trick dialed and keeps the spectators entertained.
