The Quiksilver Downlow finished up the season at MSLM on Sunday March the 18th in 22 degree weather. It was once again the Kevin show with Simple Snowboarding coach Kevin Scriver battling 3 time winner Kevin Konings. Simple Snowboarding coach Craig Gouweloos was in hot pursuit however and pushed hard all day in the modified Behemoth sized park features all built by Mt. St. Louis-Moonstone’s master park shaper Craig Burley.

The Horseshoe Open Simple Snowboarding’s Christian Primrose put his season of training to work and took out the Horseshoe Open big air with some double backside 1080s and a double backflip thrown in for good measure. Jesse Loucks with a Jones Soda Celebration after 2 wins at the Provincial Champs
The AOS Provincials aka “The Jones Champs” Took place at Moonstone over the last weekend. Tough weather conditions forced a double up event on Sunday with back to back Halfpipe and Slopestyle events. It was a bright Sunny day but extremely Icy and all the competitors did well to stay on their feet and walk away from the day uninjured. Simple Snowboarding coach Craig Gouweloos took out both the best trick and the Pro mens Win at the Canadian Shield Calgary stop over the past weekend. Simple Snowboarding team members Mike Rotsaert and Natalie Allport also found themselves on the podium with a 2nd in the Pro Womens for Nat and Mike Joining Craig on the podium for a 3rd place spot. Craig threw down a Switch back 5 Mute, Backside 900 Stalefish (Taking out best trick), Cab 9 Melon, 5050 Front 3 into the bank, Front blunt 270 out. Mike threw a Switch back 5, Cork Back 7 Indy, Front 7 Melon, Front Lip Popover, C-wood Shuffle
