Simple Snowboarding’s 14 year old Coulton Conway put a lot of the older riders on notice at the Van’s Big Air series at Horseshoe Resort today. Coulton tore up the park with a Cab Cork 5, Back cork 5, Frontside 360 true nose, Front 1 on Switch Back 1 out, Cab 270 and a Back Lip… All done with Coulton’s signature super smooth style.. Congrats Coco!!

Coulton Conway picks up his 1st place prizing from the Volcom Crew

Volcom’s Peanut Butter Rail Jam went down on Saturday February 11th at Blue Mountain and it was a great contest with a high level of riding from all who entered. The Simple crew had a strong presence with 9 team members spread over 4 categories. 7 of the 9 made finals and there was a Simple rider on the podium in every category. Disney XD's Dropping In and Simple Snowboarding's own Coulton Conway Co-Hosted the event and gave out 2 spots direct to the finals of the Ontario stop of the Canadian Shield Tour...

Ontario’s most lucrative series for young Snowboarders kicked off with the Simple Slopestyle on Sunday the 15th of January 2012.  More than 40 riders turned out to take on the smallest features in the Junkyard park and grab their share of the loot up for grabs from over 37 Industry sponsors!!

The YOU LOOK GOOD stop at Mont Tremblant is always a popular one for the Simple crew, and the rest of Ontario for that matter, it was a quick trip but a good one. We drove out Thursday, practiced Friday, competed Saturday, then it’s back home on Sunday. The practice day had beautiful, sunny, calm conditions and felt like the warmest -14 degree day of the year.

Simple Snowboarder’s got their SBX fix on the weekend at the AOS Beaver Valley Snowboardcross.
On a freezing day where Simple SBX coach Kenny Riedmann had to constantly keep the team moving, Keith Brouillette, Trevor Niblett, Coulton Conway, Brennan Cruse and Riley Dillon all had a blast charging the Beaver Course.

Young Coulton Conway lead the charge in the Youth category where he dominated the competition, coming home with a 1st Place in his first SBX competition. Keith Brouillette looked sharp and promising through most of the event, but was eliminated after he was taken out during a race…. all part of the challenge and sometimes blind luck of SBX!! (more…)

Some of the Simple Snowboarding team headed to Colorado in early December to get back the Winter legs and hopefully catch some early season powder… We lucked out with some fun park laps, little jumps and fresh Snow!

The DC Ride Along Tour made its one and only stop in Ontario this past weekend at Horseshoe Valley Resort.  We are lucky to have snow in Ontario during November so scheduling some of DC’s top International and Canadian Pro’s months in advance to come ride is a pretty bold move, but with a little help from Mother Nature and a few snow guns Horseshoe pulled it off.  The set up was a mini pipe with a pump section in the middle or a rail to bonk, tap, or stall on.
